Rutgers University Habitat for Humanity (RUHFH) is a student run nonprofit organization dedicated to providing decent and affordable homes for low income families. We accomplish this goal through year round fundraising and building homes with our partner, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plainfield and Middlesex County. We recently finished our first $100,000 house sponsorship in the West Seventh Street Village and have started our next project. This project is called Habitat Barrier Free and is a $50,000 half house sponsorship for a single mother of 4. Read more about it here!
It is with great privilege that we can share with you our latest and greatest fundraising effort. RUHFH has committed to raising $50,000 by January 31st for the Johnson family of Plainfield, NJ as part of Habitat Barrier Free. This project is particularly motivating for our chapter because Nikeisa’s (featured below) youngest son has never lived at home due to his medical conditions. Once this barrier free home is constructed he will be able to move home, thus uniting the Johnson family.
We kindly ask that you support our project by donating at this website and/or sharing our fundraiser with friends, family and loved ones.
Remember, all donations are matched dollar for dollar because of a State Farm grant that RUHFH recently received.
